Dynesti seeks to inspire open-minded and compassionate conversations about bodily autonomy, unplanned pregnancies and single parenthood through the release of the powerful alternative hip-hop/soul single “MissCarriage”. This single was inspired by the hardest decision of Dynesti’s life, a heart-wrenching story of being pressured by her lover to terminate an unplanned pregnancy that occurred while taking preventative measures. In collaboration with producer AudioGibbs, Dynesti poured her pain into the messages and melodies to empower women going through similar circumstances and to encourage the support of their loved ones. The song title is a play on words that ask if women in these situations would choose life as a “Miss”, a single parent pushing a “Carriage”, or if they would terminate the pregnancy due to the lack of support. In Dynesti’s words, “ I want them to know that they are not alone, they are seen and loved no matter what they choose to do in the end… even if their right to choose was taken”
